PHILOSOPHY
I believe in continuous learning. There is always something new on the horizon and another way of thinking about something. I understand the importance of reflection and feedback in the creative process. I know that communication and collaboration help to establish constant improvement and excellence among groups. I have had the opportunity to visit different countries, explore multiple states, and learn more about various histories and cultures. This has helped me to better understand the user experience and how to craft messages that speak to diverse audiences.
My professional path has focused on design, psychology, marketing, technology, and education. The intersection of these fields has helped to hone my skills across disciplines. I have encouraged and led teams in for-profit businesses, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. I understand the nuances of face to face communication as well as virtual communication. I can ideate, develop, and execute campaigns and projects that are user oriented. I can deliver information that is easy to understand and actionable. I am a skilled presenter and researcher.
My bachelor's degree provided me with a foundation in Marketing. My master's degrees in Human Services Administration and Counseling developed my perspective on psychology and education. My doctorate degree created opportunities to explore the connection between psychology, learning, and technology. Along the way, I have been a constant learner and adopter of design and technology. My experience consulting has equipped me with skills to foster success in start ups, tech companies, educational organizations, non-profits, and businesses.
